When should connectivity due diligence begin?

Ideally during land appraisal or option-stage assessment, before a carrier shortlist or programme assumption becomes embedded. Early work can be proportionate: a desktop screen first, followed by detailed route and commercial due diligence for shortlisted sites.

Does having two carriers make a site diverse?

Not necessarily. Two services may share ducts, chambers, crossings, aggregation nodes or an underlying wholesale network. Diversity should be assessed at the physical route and dependency level, not only by supplier name.

Can you assess dark fibre, wavelengths and managed services?

Yes. The appropriate product depends on capacity, latency, resilience, operational capability, timescale and commercial model. We can compare dark fibre, wavelength, Ethernet, IP transit and cloud-connectivity options on a consistent basis.

Will carriers disclose exact routes?

The level of disclosure varies. We structure requests to obtain the best available evidence, record limitations and identify where surveys, contractual commitments or bespoke infrastructure are required to close the risk.

Can you take the project through construction?
